I gave a demonstration of chanoyu at Japan Fes., an ongoing Japanese food event in New York City.
It was the first time for us to demonstrate on the street, but I am able to make matcha tea while DJ Kohei Hattori-san played soothing music. Many people stopped to watch the demonstration, creating a quiet space around the tatami mat amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.
